44 Photos of Israel & Jordan
The children were laughing loudly and we could hear their cheers echoing down this ancient walkway. They smiled and gave one another bunny ears while looking into the camera. One of their friends came running down the steps toward them, wearing a Micky Mouse sweater drinking a can of Sprite. Everything around us, the buildings and streets, were made of stone. We could smell falafel frying nearby. On this day, everyone was at peace. These children were happily playing as their parents sold trinkets or food from their shops. I was in Jerusalem now. I had been in Israel for a week and would soon head to Jordan. I wanted to see for myself what these countries were all about. Here are 44 photos of Israel & Jordan.

, was that if they had no one would have had enough oil. Hmmm. He also said that they didn’t need help, exactly, they were simply unprepared because they had been careless and doing other things than getting ready, and the wise ones didn’t refuse them something they needed, they just told them to go buy their oil, which they did. But it was too late. Sometimes, it really is too late. That is not a message our culture likes to hear; maybe no culture likes to hear it.
Beautiful pictures Cam! They bring back so many good memories. 🙂
Thank you, Elin! Was just looking at them thinking about our Christmas morning in Wadi Rum with a dozen Saudis. Can’t wait to travel with you again! 🙂
My husband and I just returned from the area (Turkey and Greece also). Your photos are wonderful and I was immediately transported back! Thank you!
You were smart to go in the off season – we arrived May 12th and it was already quite hot! We, too, found the people to be delightful. I would encourage people to go with the advice to meet people from all types of cultures. It will help to see and perhaps to understand the complex nature of life in that part of the world.
Sharli,
That’s great to hear you had a chance to visit all of those countries. I’m glad you had a chance to meet the locals and found them to be delightful.
Thank you for the kind words and for letting me know what you thought. If you’d like to check out any more photos, I recently posted some 51 Photos of Europe from the 6 months I spent there as well, including Greece and Turkey. Cheers!
